WAINWRIGHT BUFFALO WOULD BE DESIRABLE FOR EDMONTON PARK

————

Buffalo herds for Edmonton’s East End park is a plan that Manager "Bill" Stark of the Edmonton fair association intends to urge with emphasis from now on. The need of making the "park more attractive each year" is pointed out and could be realized by the providing of a number of these hearty park treasures.

Mr. Stark says he feels sure that a number of these animals can be secured from the herds here without any cost to city. All that could be involved would be the transportation charges. No costly buildings would have to be erected to shelter the animals as they would only need some sort of structure with a roof on it for the extreme cold spells.

Street railway revenue in the city would no doubt be largely augmented by the placing of such animals in the park, it is claimed. Now that the summer tourist season is rapidly approaching, it is urged that active steps be taken to obtain the animals.
