None of the Doomed Bulls will be Killed off this Year Says Supt. McTaggart

NOT FIT FOR MOUNTING

One will be Shot Down and will Furnish Steak at Board of Trade Banquet

One hundred of the finest buffalo in the local park were rounded up on Monday by Superintendent McTaggart, from which two will be selected and transported across the water to Dublin, Ireland, where they will be placed in the Zoological Gardens.

Supt. W. E. McTaggart states that he had considerable difficulty rounding up the animals, for at this time of the year they are growing wilder than they are in the summer.

During his interview with The Star, Supt. McTaggart stated that none of the animals, included in which were thirty-five buffalo bulls, will be killed off. The fur is so short that couldn’t be mounted as they should be and for this reason they will not be slain until next season and probably not until winter. Outside of one, which will furnish the steak at the board of trade banquest in January, the aged bulls will have a new lease of life.
