BUFFALO HEAD TO GRACE COUNCIL CHAMBER IN TOWN HALL

————

Practically Certain that Government will Grant Request of Town Council

————

Superintendent McTaggart, of the local buffalo park, announced that the request of the board of trade for a carcass of buffalo has been granted and that a quarter will be given over to the board when the animals are slain next month. Arrangements are now being made accordingly and the assurance is given that buffalo steak will be one of the items on the extensive bill of fare at the annual banquet next month.

From the fact that application was made for a buffalo beef, to be served at this banquet, Wainwright has received no small amount of advertising and publicity all over Canada, for the probability is that this will be the first occasion in recent years that buffalo meat has adorned the tables of a banquet of this kind. Undoubtedly the meat will be a little tough, but this matters little to the board of trade, for steak of this kind on the menu card will be as unique as it will prove novel.
