Stories of the Wainwright Buffalo will be Largely Circulated

In the interests of a more complete colonization of the Wainwright District, Mr. R. C. W. Lett, Colonization Agent of the Grand Trunk Pacific, is in the town this week stopping off here on his return to Winnipeg, from Edmonton and points west.

His main reason for stopping off was to acquaint himself more fully with the extensive development that the town has undergone in past few months and to view the buffalo at their home in the local park. Mr. Lett, during his visit to the park, took several pictures of the buffalo, which will be used in advertising matter in the campaigns now being carried on by the G. T. P. in the interests of Wainwright. In this connection, Mr. Lett said, "We are in receipt of letters very frequently from Magazine publishers, asking for new scenes of the buffalo in the Wainwright Park and matter, valuable in a description of their life and habits. This, the magazines and periodicals of the country will use in write ups and articles on the buffalo."

Last summer, as will be remembered, a trip was made by Mr. Lett to Prince Rupert by pack horse, traversing the entire distance on horse back. During this trip, a collection of most valuable photographs were secured, along the proposed route of the railway, through the mountains. These photos were displayed by Mr. Lett, while here and their beauty and scenic effect were certainly wonderful. Scenes were shown of all the chief mountain peaks, lakes, river and lands where settlement has already been made and where the quality of the soil is adaptable to grain growing. All of these photographs will be used in publicity campaigns throughout the country.
