28 Buffalo Arrive at Park

————

Howard Douglas and Fred H. Byshe bring herd from Montana

————

Remainder to arrive in few weeks — Pablo Park about cleared of Buffalo — Outlaws of original herd raising trouble — Park now contains upwards of nine fifty head.

————

Last Monday's local freight brought in two car loads of buffalo for the Wainwright Park, numbering twenty eight in all.

Howard Douglas, Commissioner of Dominion Parks and Fred A. Byshe accompanied the buffalo from the Pablo reservation in Montana where the members of the Wainwright herd were procured. The buffalo gave little or no trouble on the way and were unloaded at the chute here unusually quiet.

This shipment is a part of the number that will arrive here according to contracts made between the Dominion Government and Michael Pablo. It is not definitely known when the remainder of about fifty will arrive as Mr. Pablo is experiencing a great deal of difficulty in rounding up this last bunch. This is being caused by about thirty five oulaw bulls that refuse to be taken alive.

In all there are about nine hundred and fifty buffalo now in the local Park, including over one hundred and fifty that were born during the past summer.
