Star Man Fortunate Enough To See About A Hundred Buffalo

————

A Star man upon whom the tragedy of the buffalo had made a deep impression, on Sunday saw his first buffalo and considered himself very fortunate. In fact he saw about one hundred of the former monarchs of the plains. Unfortunately a couple of men on horseback who were bound for a similar sight-seeinbg mission rode too near the buffalo and alarmed them. They ran with great speed and put a long distance between themselves and the people who had come to see them.

The pair of broncs, behind which the Star man was riding pricked up their ears when they got a whiff of the bufffalo scent but the jehu was equal to the occasion and nothing happened.

All day long, on Sunday, people were streaming out to the park, some on foot, others driving and still others riding. The day was beautifully fine, with the sun shining brightly and people who were out felt that it was fine thing just to be living.
