It is with great pleasure that I convey my warmest congratulations to the personnel of Canadian Forces Base Calgary Detachment Wainwright, their families, and the residents of Wainwright and surrounding communities as you celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Camp Wainwright as a Military Training Facility.

These celebrations will chronicle the history of the Camp and the unique and beneficial relationship it has maintained with the community.  Throughout its history, Camp Wainwright has not only created direct employment for residents of the Town of Wainwright but has enjoyed a warm and prosperous social and economic relationship with the community at large.

I take this opportunity to recognize half a century of co-operation and growth in the Camp and the Town of Wainwright.  I wish all of you continued success in meeting the challenges of the future.
